Amelia Amaya is currently finishing her Master’s in Performance degree at Penn State University under Dr. Naomi Seidman. She is a Bunton-Waller fellow recipient and the current flute teaching assistant. Amelia currently performs principal flute with the Penn State Philharmonic Orchestra, Symphonic Wind Ensemble, and The Graduate Woodwind Quintet. She has worked with well-known flutist including Robert Dick, Christina Jennings, Christina Ballatori, Nancy Stagnitta, and Dionne Jackson, as well as others. This past summer, Amelia attended flute festivals in Colorado and Texas. This coming summer, she will be attending flute festivals in Texas and Spain. A native from Texas, she received her Bachelor’s degree in music education at Texas A&M International University under the tutlelage of Dr. Susan Berdahl.  Amelia will be pursuing a Professional Performance Certificate on Flute at The Pennsylvania State University this Fall 2017.
